McDonald's business buyer says to invest 6.5–7 bln rbl in 2022
MOSCOW, Jun 14 (PRIME) -- Alexander Govor, owner of Vkusno i Tochka, the former Russian business of fast food chain McDonalds, said on Monday that he had bought the business for a token price and plans to invest about 6.5–7 billion rubles in 2022.
The first 15 outlets of the restaurant chain were launched in Moscow and the Moscow Region on June 12, and 50 more were slated to launch on Monday.
"Concerning investments, yes, we plan to invest about 6.5–7 billion rubles soon, this year, in development of our business," Govor said, adding that Vkusno i Tochka may invite partners.
The economic effect from investments in McDonald's former business will be seen in 12–18 months, the official said.
Govor separately said that prices in the restaurants would change soon, but remain affordable.
